Hope You're Happy

Hope You're Happy

A Poem by The Dark Passenger

Is this the weight of the world,
the one I've sworn to carry,
through the darkness and through the pain,
through summer's sweet sun and winter's bitter rain.

I am unaccustomed to the possibilities,
the ones that scream out their tireless remorse,
These eyes only seek the bad ends
the failed ends, the sad ends...

There has never been anything else.

If I lived the truth and dreamed the lie,
would this note be the only one I've learned to sigh,
with no chance of a saving grace
I've run, and run and lost the pace.
