Comparing Me

Comparing Me

A Poem by Lady Tyke
"

Started out as a spin-off on Shakespeare's Sonnet. Hope you like.

"

Do not compare me to summer or day

My temperance is venom spiked

These frozen buds will break away

Like shards of frozen ice

These gales and storms to whip and lash

Like tongues of savage fire

That singe and scorch your ravaged heart

And quench your lonely desire.

Jagged stuff. Like 'venom spiked' and 'shards of frozen ice'. 'Gales/storms/whips/lashes/fire/scorched/ravaged' all very strong words. Sultry chippyness about it.

A very creative approach, an anti-Shakespeare asking not to compare you to thins so warm and bright cause you have your dark times too... Brilliant!!
