Child SupportA Poem by The Unknown SithThe Father , The Son , and ...I used to believe A good child does what he is told Then, in an hour of need You were not there The child was left alone. I felt deceived Like you didn't care In my time of need Father why were you not there? This hunger that I can never feed Reluctantly, I began to see... There is no heaven above Only a hole Only a vacant space Only a void of your love Abandon is the child I speak to a God that doesn't exist. If he did Oh, how I wish Upon stars But I am lost in the cosmos Alone and afraid With lurking creature in the mist I am your child that still exists In the weight of things, To you, is this nothingness? Father, Don't tell me I need to pray harder I bled this from my wrist From all this noise, I now sit in silence Just another passing fit from the child I slowly dragged myself up again Because if I don't, I will remain on this cold bloody floor No one to help me up Knuckles dragging, head sagging Back to my cave My early grave Cursed by a love that can't persist Until I find the strength to grab hope again and optimistically wish That you will someday acknowledge me. by the unknown sith- the child. © 2024 The Unknown SithFeatured Review
