I long for the majestic sunset of your hair, windblown, dancing across my cheek… The burnt orange and lavender… I want to consume every drop. I’m thirsty for your footsteps near my bed, parched with desire for your presence, your essence. How long until you wet my tongue, and quench this fire? I stalk slumber like a shadow… my only release from the hunger and yearning for your moist lips, like peaches pressed against mine.

Sensual, oozes with sugar romance, takes the reader on a colorful ride. Poem flows smooth from start to end with every line piquing the interest more and more. Poetry in motion here. these lines stood out for me, "I stalk slumber like a shadow…
my only release from the
hunger and yearning for your
moist lips"
Thanks for sharing, Thomas. Enjoyed the write!
Thomas, I read your poem above and like it very much; such a soft touch you have, stalking slumber. I was curious to see your new book, but the link above went nowhere. Can you check to see if there is a problem? I tried disabling some of my malware protection in case it was being too ambitious, but that didn't help.

I read as much of the 'free sample" I could get until it ran out. So damned good, all of it. I would get the Kindle version, but I don't have a Kindle. Down the road a bit. I'm sure everybody says that, but it's on the wrong side of Xmas and now I've got bills to pay. But Aluminum Cowboy is high on my list of things I must have soon. Just brilliant s**t, my friend, really.
now that I think about it, it's not about her.....I wrote it before I met her.

Wow, a surprising and tantalizing experience here. Lucky lady to have found you. There is a raw desire well expressed here about the yearning of presence. I hope you still have each other.
Longing, desire is difficult to wait for.... you have given us a sensual piece which reads with such tenderness and eagerness...and your chosen words fit perfectly with your emotion...."I long for the majestic sunset of your hair"......"hunger and yearning for your moist lips"....
Thank you for sharing!
