"
On a day that was
fraught
with anxiety and anger,
I sailed on
to the
other side.
The two pens that
blew up in my hand
foreshadowed the
prolific writing
streak to come.
Six poems today,
a personal best.
Bukowski would be
proud.
He might even
wonder
How I did it without
w****s
booze and
cigarettes.

It was easy.
I had bluebirds for
lunch, and listened
to Vivaldi.
I just let the telephone
ring
ring
ring

Nice Thomas. I like how you start out with a teaser: on a day that was fraught with anxiety and anger. But you don’t tell us why the day was such. A story for another time. Then the poem becomes calming. I think perhaps we share a trait in writing. The writing takes us out of ourselves, lets us forget for a while our cares and anxieties. It’s a sweet poem about our craft.

This piece perfectly captures that chaotic spark when frustration turns into art. The broken pens, the ringing phone — all symbols of noise transformed into creation. It’s a reminder that beauty can rise from irritation if you let it flow instead of fighting it. When I need that same rush of focus, I sometimes unwind at https://ignitioncasinous.com/ — it keeps my pulse alive.

The Poetry was so hot, the Pens exploded. A purple patch indeed when you write 6 Poems in a day. Really Excellent ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
