C**k Soft Days

A Poem by Thomas W Case

"
Here comes another
classic case of
writer's block.
C**k soft,
I spew
across the
white pages.
Maybe age is
catching up
with me.
Time has been
a friend,
but I'm only as
good as my last poem.
I long for the days
when songs filled
my heart, where every
part of me smelled
the rain and the
wet dogs, and the
streets of Spain.
The pain was always
fodder, the joy, the sadness
the madness of love and
sex and passion.
The rancid anger and rage
became the words of
a sage when I broke
out the notebook.

Not tonight, though,
I will wait for the
erection and the blood
to simmer in
the red dot on the
white snow.
Patiently waiting for
the hemorrhaging of
the soul.

Maybe you should try the Short Japanese Verse Forms Thomas - I generally find I can manage a Haiku even if nothing else is flowing. Still you have made something out of it this time. Nice Work ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

Reviews

This poem hits like a confession — raw, self-aware, and painfully human. The writer’s struggle feels less about words and more about identity slipping through time. That longing for the chaos of youth is hauntingly familiar. Sometimes I find inspiration in unexpected escapes, like browsing https://maxispincasinos.com/ just to feel a pulse of chance amid stillness.

Thomas, you do have a way with words and images. I have had times when I spewed out something that seemed to have quality. Never got a hardon over any of it, though.

Thank you. I'm glad it helps.
The writer’s nightmare served up painfully. A raw account of the creative side going awol. Take care Thomas. The muse will return.

Much appreciated, Chris. Thank you.
Such a raw and honest piece, Thomas. I really felt the weight of creative drought here -- that tension between desire, aging, and inspiration comes through so vividly. The imagery makes it all feel painfully real and human.
