Golf is Life (After Charles Bukowski)

Golf is Life (After Charles Bukowski)

"
Golf is a game of recovery; there's
an eagle and sometimes a seagull to keep a
lonely man company, an albatross but no bluebird.
Life is a game of recovery.  We all want in.
Whether it be the cup or Heaven, my
guess is triple bogey and a broken heart.

I looked up 'Golden Shovel' on Google Thomas. You really want to try the short Japanese Verse Forms old Friend. They complement the sober Life Style marvellously. I liked this though and hope yr 'Writers Block' is completely temporary ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

I read a collection of Bukowski's verse, and I doubt there were too many bluebirds in his life. As to life in general, there will be bogeys and broken hearts, but they are only part of the story.

so very true, my friend...Check out Bukowski's There's a Bluebird in my Heart. You will be pleased
This poem captures the quiet melancholy of chasing perfection — both on the course and in life. The metaphor of golf as recovery feels sharp and honest; every missed shot echoes a deeper human flaw. We keep swinging anyway, stubbornly hopeful. When I need a lighter diversion, https://pin-up-online.kz/ offers a brief, harmless escape from all that reflection.
