Between Lines

Between Lines

A Poem by Thomas W Case
"

A fun set of haikus

"
wet spring coat jackets
hands searching for the hidden bud
smile under your breath

pages steam too hot
a touch of thigh, a quiet
nod in the daylight

fingers trace outlines
a laugh bounces off the wall
anticipation

midnight in the bed
small sparks buzz under the sheets
electric whispers

tiny hidden pulse
above folds of quiet silk
the button is found

You haikus are delightfully playful and intimate. I love how each one captures these small, electric moment, the quick smiles, the whispered touches, the anticipation that hangs in the air. You manage to make every line feel alive, teasing, and full of sensation, yet nothing is overt. Everything lives in suggestion and subtlety.

Hi friend,
There is something about this poem that causes me to hesitate before answering.
The personal relationship displayed by certain words, this is not just a poem.
My heart races as I read it again and again.
This is really special. For a special person.
Beautiful.

Thank you. Much appreciated.
Under the covers, the haiku will play...
Sheets of white warming to the words underneath.

Thank you, my friend. Much appreciated.
Anticipation becomes excitement with time and with more time becomes sexual tension magnified. A wonderful write using pacing and imagery to delay gratification. Well done Thomas.

A bouquet of haiku which tell a story. Sensual, fun and heated. Lovely moments Thomas. Happy new year to you.
