Vivid and SharpA Poem by Thomas W CaseHere is a link to my Amazon page, where my books can be found https://www.amazon.com/stores/Thomas-W.-Case/author/B0CL2RKDGX?ref=sr_Loneliness sounds like wind singing through cracked elm branches in autumn’s bleak light. Sadness tastes like cold tea"no honey, no sugar" bitter scraping the back of the throat. Hope smells like six-week-old puppies slurping mother’s milk in the sun. Joy feels like bare feet on prickly grass after a fierce spring storm. Memory looks like streetlights bleeding into oil-slicked puddles at two in the morning.
