The Truth Hurts

A simple poem on heartbreak.

It hurts
to know that
you love somebody else,
not just one, but two.


I dreamed
that they were
nothing and that I
was the only one for you.


But it
was not the
truth, because in reality
it’s just me in blue.


Though it
hurts a lot,
you’re a perfect
person in my view.


Someday,
I hope that
I’ll be special
and love by you too.
