Maybe it’s time to choose you

There’s no issue with wanting more
The problem is when you have nothing to pour
Your cup is empty and has nothing
You can’t give because you haven’t received
You can’t give when you haven’t retrieved
You can’t pour from an empty cup of nothing
But when will you start to give yourself something?

Something you deserve because you deserve so much more
And that’s not to mention that “love” isn’t the cure
Love, people, emotions, they all come and go
But you though, stop going with the flow
Pour into you, choose you, and realize its always been you

You are worthy of it all
But each time you feel secure, you stumble and fall
It’s a reminder to stop giving your all
Because maybe that’s not your real call
God has a purpose
But we always come and call it
Call it onto our flesh
And then we question “why the mess?”
When all along it was us
It wasn’t “just”

Just another relationship
Just another situationship
Just another romance
Just another unplayed cast
Just another
Another

But truth is why do you hide yourself so under?
Your worthy of so much more but yet your becoming colder?
More numb to the unknowing feelings
But wanting and not seeking new beginnings
There’s nothing wrong with starting over
But starting over is what you hide under the covers

So much to hide
So much to die
But yet here you are stuck in the try
Trying to stay
Trying to walk away
Trying to find answers
When emotions are walking away slowly in feathers

Your in denial
And no it wasn’t a trial
But you haven’t chose you
And that’s the problem
It’s been always “two”
But stop trying to find “them”

Find yourself and love on you
It’s time to get back on your P’s & Q’s
