Her vs. HerA Poem by tiana hernandez
She was loud with so much to say
Yelling or communicating with no relay It wasn't a race or a disgrace But better yet a sign of another battle to face She was expressing She was explaining She was fighting She was loving She was caring She was battling Over and over again She remained going insane Slowly but surely she didn't know where she was going But soon enough she met with the old her who was falling It was the present her fighting the old her Here she is battling between her old self and her now fear The fear of what? The fear of letting go and finding a new version of herself Not knowing what she really had to felt The felt of denial? The felt of another break up put into the file? The remembrance of how many times she tried? And lied after another lie Too much to say But repetition was expressed more and more each day Less and less to express But she knew she couldn't continue to settle for less Finding her purpose through it all But she wouldn't have gotten here without that one fall That one fall that let her broken And here she is again trying to soak in Soak in a fight that was unmet Of feelings and emotions of hope that kept being unsent Talk and talk But no walk Promises after promises But constant repetitions She met with the old version of herself... To be continued...
