Second Chance

Second Chance

A Poem by Mauricio Montoya
"

Is there ever a second chance.

"
Now today I sit on a bench, Cold.
Wondering what to do in,
K-Falls no fruit, just getting old.
If only everything tossed
Every time, just take back
Only if it was just that.
A second chance to,
Go back to get, never had.
If only young, could one see.
Yet found, chose to lose.
Yet there is hope, if not i.
A second chance
Everyone together were one.
But only if there's is a,
Second chance
To hope for.
Something if just
You, me and our sister
And even our brothers,
Please lets give ourselves
A second chance
To live as one.
Together, before forgotten
If only there was a,
Second chance to change.

Is the title "Second Chance"?
This poem has flavorings of "The Road not Taken"---and how the speaker wishes he had the chance to try the other road in life, but he feels it is too late to go back to try the other one.
But maybe it is not...and there will be a second chance, a do-over.
Really like this....speaks to those of us who are quite old...and probably can't go back.

There is no sin to going back, to returning when perhaps a mistake was made or an action remained a mere nothing. Better go back in time than regret till you move into the long sleep and regret what can never be. When you write words as you have, there are thoughts buzzing about your mind that need to be sorted; perhaps, better still, be used for the best. Never waste what might have been .. decisions fade if left alone too long. Take a chance...
