When we're happy we jump up and down
When we're worried we pace back and forth
And sad we stand going no where,
But sometimes we need to walk,
To let go that deep inside
To walk on the shores
As the ocean water hits the rocks
The mist of the waves hit your face
You know you're free.
When you take that walk
And let go.
You're free.
Most of life we bounce around with all the control of a pinball, glancing off one impact point to the next, so those moments of freedom are cherished for all they are worth.
We can't control our lives as easily as we hope to, but we can cherish those moments of reprieve that let us breathe and relax, however few and far between they may be.
Nicely penned.
Amen. Most people just walk… too bad. There is so much more to walking, anywhere, any time. Mauricio I think you’ve expressed eloquently just what a walk is all about in this poem. Well done.
I love this because sometimes the best human connections come from simply walking together, talking and listing, (It doesn't need to be a fanfare) thank you for this sentiment!

That would be my choice too, Mauricio. Although I love living in a very green area, walking along the cliffs and looking down the sea is one of my favourite walks ever! Your poem is lovely and beckons a walk whenever possible!
