What if

What if

A Poem by Mauricio Montoya

What if I could go in circles and place myself in a square.
Should of, could of would of is not an option, if its already done.
We make excuses to justify that what can't be change
We reach to the sky for an answer deep inside.
We cry in deep regret only if we can back.
We run and hide in fear of we must face
But its simply stand the ground.
Look within you around you ,
Before you attack that before you
And find they were scared too.

There’s a grounded honesty in this—like someone cutting through the noise of regret and landing back on plain reality.
And what holds it together is that quiet turn at the end: seeing fear in others too, not just in yourself.
