As if...

I wrote this because I had a blank page with the words "As if" at the top. It started as an idea for a story until I got side tracked.

We were actually connected.

You loved the way you wished to be loved.

I actually cared.

It all really mattered.

Life wasn’t just there.

He wasn’t a let down.

She was your pride.

The world was ending.

The paper was running short.

You hadn’t slept in days.

We had forever.

People were invincible.

Jokes made sense.

The sun always shined.

The water would never stop.

Hair wouldn’t regrow.

You would never move on.

He was important.

The challenge was impossible.

Food was gone.

School was ending.

You had real friends.

She was finally in love.

First kisses were important.

Shoes were essential.

The ocean ended.

The storm let up.

Garbage didn’t smell.

The flag had a meaning.

The world was tiny.

Writing never existed.
