Big Bang

Big Bang

A Poem by Choosing Life

For a quick instance, in a flash of glory, of sorts…

I experienced a big bang theory, in you and I.
There was a hesitation as I felt our spirits greeting
While smiles on our faces rose in their honor.
Quiet contemplation, as you spoke, made my heart flutter.
I heard a King speaking, like heaven had a voice on earth
And whispered into my ears—hello.
In the brightness of your light I shied away,
Afraid to accept your coming as real.
A figment of my imagination was easier to swallow,
Than the hope you aimed to bring.
I wanted to bow and rest…
Ready to hold arms out, to let you in,

My soul opened while your eyes were closed.
