Basking

Basking

A Poem by Choosing Life
"

him...

"

Greenish Blue Butterfly by BugMan50.

I’m in love with a Butterfly

That forgot
He can fly…
Days spent in the gloom
Missing the days of June.

I pray …

Dandelions catch his wings
Carrying him to the spring
Of his existence…

I pray…

New days bring New Life
No worries or strife…
A part of his time
Spent basking in the sunshine
I know in his wings..

Love the metaphor in this piece. Flows well. Enjoyed reading!

Poor old love struck butterfly! It happens to the wildest of stunt flying butters I suppose. I love the opening three lines here.

Before a butterfly becomes that, it lives another life. I think that life is needed, in order for that butterfly to live the perfect existence that it does, eventually.

I've likened myself to butterflies, so I guess I can identify with "him".

Dope little piece.
