Left Behind

I wanted to express the feeling of being left behind by a loved one.

Left behind, all alone.
In the dark with no hope.
Couldn’t breathe
Couldn’t sleep
couldn’t stay awake
time was killing me
there came a hand
From a place out of sight
Heartbeats of a man
Grabbed it with all my might
It compelled me
intrigued me
was warm like a fire
grew fonder, no wonder
It saved me
Released me
it set me free
I couldn’t control it
wouldn’t shouldn’t
It was a friend, a brethren and no more
I didn’t want to
didn’t think it through
That the hand who
came from you
would enslave me
keep me
never ever set me free
Just leaving me in agony
I can’t say the word,
Cause of the fear for her
I would violate her
Put my desires before her
I am caged by my brain and heart
The fear has left me drained and nonsmart
I would never know what to say or do,
as long as I love you.

I like your poems they are very heartfelt which the reader and grasp very easily. I would like to see more imagery to loose myself even further and I have noticed that in many of your poems your use repetition of words quite frequently... I know that english is your second language, but I feel that your poems wold go to another level with less repetition ... just me wee thoughts x x x
