Péché Amour

Péché Amour

A Poem by TopHatGirl

when his life
ceased to be,
he was alone
with the devil's son.
the cigarette dangling
between his raw  lips
spoke silently
of his
troubled
thoughts.
he didn't care.
he was young,
and very dead.
exceeding in the subjects
of nothing,
he described
the beliefs of a
realist.
the anti-christ
eventually had to fall in
love
with the dead
frenchman's
        poetry.
living is
contradictory,
dying
is
simple defiance,
and the
art
of a tempered poet
is something to be
admired.

Author's Note

TopHatGirl
Wow. I didn't use capitals. That's a big deal for me.
I am so sick of poetry. But this one dug into my mind and didn't let go.
I would've loved to have this entirely in French, but I'm an American teenager, I'm going to get it wrong.
The title means Sinned Love, but probably not, because again, I'M AN AMERICAN TEENAGER.
