Don't Take It Away
A Poem by Treble
Don't take it all away, The happiness, The hope. Don't take it all away, The friends, The freedom. Don't lock me in a cage With nothing but A cracker and water. I'm a bird, Not an insect, Not an unimportant bug. Leave me in the wild, Let me be free, Leave me be. Don't take it all away.

Nice insight and well written. It is shameful what people do to posses and control animals or people they claim to admire and love.

Thanks! It was originally about a bird, but after reading it, I realized it could work as a metaphor.. read moreThanks! It was originally about a bird, but after reading it, I realized it could work as a metaphorical poem! :)
