Rose

Rose

A Poem by Annie Nicole

Delicate with fragrance,
can you imagine its confidence?

Sweet but sour,
it's nothing but a flower.

Red, white or pink,
how magnificent you think?

Soft but sharp,
the thorns break through like a musical harp.

I like this. Short but sweet. I loved the line, "Can you imagion its confidence?". Giving human traits to nonhuman forms can be interesting. If you can have confidence in the flower kingdom, I wonder if you can have envy as well. Maybe the rose isn't so liked by the flower kingdom because of jealousy. Wonderfully written and I enjoyed reading it

I think some of the greatest romantic poets such as Keets , Byron, Shelley, Wordsworth etc, were ramblers, so, rambling isn't a bad thing. It's a mood and when in that mood you produce work like this.
A short poem with a rose as the theme; a simple flower, but look çloser and see what it really is, see how complicated it is, see how beautiful it is.
keep on rambling.

Thank you so much! : )
Beautifully written, well rhymed and even a rhythm. You should ramble more often.

Had it not had a title, you could have easily turned it into a "What am I" riddle as it's a brilliant description.

Well done ;)

This is really good. This actually paints a picture, if you can see the meaning to it. 10/10 from me. :)
