FreedomA Poem by Alice
In the light
They glisten; Millions of crystals, Basking in their own beauty. I wish to be as bright, Perfect, and fleeting Slipping through my fingers, Like sand between my toes So softly, Nearly unnoticed. Until I remember to let go. Clear all the wonder in my mind, And know only this: As perfection etches its stillness Into my wide open eyes, I am free. © 2012 Alice |
