Naive

Naive

A Poem by Trivén

Naive I was, that feelings passed and gone
All this time, hard fought, kept distance long
That solve this would, my feelings true and strong
But three years strong, when I thought I won
All needed was as song

I thought it was a choice to love someone
But way deep down we didn't want to choose
I thought I finally reached the bottom
And way deep down, in my underground, flip the switch
To leave you someone I've known

Naive I was, to think that I'd moved on
Maybe after all I wasn't ready to face the dawn
And just stuck here reminded, just me alone
When maybe all I miss is somewhere to belong
Someone new to come along

I thought I loved but my choice wasn't the one
When deep down we didn't want to choose
I thought at the bottom, the end I finally reached
But in the end, deep down, all I was betwitched
I should've know you were to leave
You and I just weren't to be-e-eeee-ee-ee-ee.
Just weren't to be-eee be-ee-ee-e.

Naive I was, to think you were the one.
Naive I was, but broken with a song.
Naive.
