You can't ignore the truth

They say that love is bittersweet

but for a fact I know,

love is simply magnificent

it will enable your heart to grow.

 

Its only when you're crushed

by a cold-hearted other bee

when they stomp all over everything

it will destroy you, wait and see.

 

So how do you protect yourself,

how do you stay afloat?

when everyone else is sinking down

grasp on to your heart-of-a-boat.

 

Maybe love in itself

is worth the stabbing pain

the smiles and the warmth

overpowers the darkness and vain

 

Whatever you may choose

mad love or peace of mind

you can't ignore the truth

but its you that love will find.
