BUMA Poem by T.S. ClausThe Bum has no shame Nor the evening to care No family, nor friends His feet dirty and bare A chewed up burger Melted slush in Styrofoam Beneath the sweltering Sun Ants beside the fire A busy city street And a dumpster Looking for a place to eat People dressed to meet the Queen If no one knows your name You do not have one If no one knows your soul It goes the same Sick people, sickness Walking, talking, passing icy glares All people are evil Spare not even a dime But then again Neither did I Where are you going tonight, Bum?
