A Poem by Taylor Lane
"

his hidden past may just be a match for my hidden gaze

"
i watch you suffer, i watch you bleed
i wonder if you’d talk to me
for i am broken and i fall apart
but maybe i could heal your heart
i see the scars you try to hide
and wonder of the scars inside
would you open up to me
if i promise to bring you peace
i know she’s pretty and brings you fun
but what of the demons you can’t outrun
i could stay and fight with you
but only if you want me to
i cannot beg you to let me in
i can’t seek answers for my questions
but God i see it in your eyes
that very same reason that i cry
if you take my hand ill hold you close
and tell you of all of my ghosts
i can run my hand along your skin
and hope to be so comforting
my fingers trace along your scars
your hurting, now it breaks my heart
but i can stay and do my part
to be with you, and cry with me
ill patch your wounds up as they bleed
you act okay as if you are fine
but i have a feeling that is a lie
casual calls and simple fun
you may just be fooling everyone
but if you can’t sleep through the night
then ill know that i am right
those endless hours you spend awake
as the pieces of your heart still break
i am here i understand
tortured at heart is my kind of man
