your drug of choice

your drug of choice

A Poem by Taylor Lane
"

i want you to be addicted to me

"

i don’t want to be your cigarette break

something you choose when it suits your mood

menthol flavored smoke dancing through your lungs

you lighting me and then putting me out

i don’t want to be some option, something you choose

i don’t want to be so easy like the tobacco you use

its not enough for me to have you, just when the time is right

to set myself on fire, to warm you through the night

i don’t want something so docile

i want to be your cocaine

hooked on me and tripping

at just hearing my very name

i want to be the heroin that courses through your veins

you being addicted to me

withdrawals reeling with pain

i want to be your all the time

your only drug of choice

snort me or shoot me

just love me don’t lose me

ill be your everything

always staying on your mind, you always craving me

sell your soul and every dime just to keep hold of me

something you can’t get enough of

shiver and quake those nights alone

when I’m absent from your bed

thoughts of me and clouds of smoke remain foggy in your head

when every word leads back to me, every sign it bears my name

you feel like you would die without me

you crave me in every way

thats the love i want from you

addicted can’t get enough

this drug you can’t use up

theres always more of me to give

that hit you always need

until every single ounce of you craves nothing more than me
