ButterflyA Poem by TyButterfly.A Butterfly and her cocoon Beginning, future, and past. Mask A task that made sense And I'd fly away if gravity didn't exist Transfusion of feelings, colors, and pendulums, Swinging forward and back Black tailored lineage Interested and intricate The butterfly Beautiful in her own right I figured we're guarded and sheltered The cocoon bestowed in night Awaiting to emerge, Expressing self and light Daffodil and Cadmium Yellow The butterfly She coasts and drifts Sways and lifts with each breeze Climbed to the top of skyscrapers, The Empire State Teetering Neither falling or swinging, I'd fly away if gravity didn't exist. ![]() © 2017 TyFeatured Review
