Tree BreathsA Poem by TyTree BreathsDid you hear the tale of the tree stump that felt
defeated? A soul depleted and so it trickled, slowly dwindled, Sun dried leaves that escaped and blew through open
windows. Once towered and tarried through turbulence amidst
drought and rain. Weathered. Cut - Reduced to a level of mankind. Seemingly paradoxical as the tree breathes life into and under
the sky. Nourishment as tin cans of beans, once thriving for nature’s
families. You see, the stump’s roots would remain vigilant, adverse
to doubt and machines. And occurred the day, a dove and hummingbird flew down
and came, Assured the stump was clinched in Heaven’s arms. Against surrounding destruction, Of something of magnitude of crowns and the Aurora
Borealis, It sprouted, From close to nothing, a beacon of light.
