Beaten AnimalA Poem by Sarah
The mix of feelings,
The car door shuts I hear their voices, Over come by a surge of relief, Perplexed with burning fear, Walking through the door it happens again. The choke collar around my throat, Shackles on my wrists and ankles... Mixed of love and hate, Wanting to break the locks.... But to tired from this hell, Having to grow too fast, Wishing I could hold on to reality, Crying myself to sleep, Staying awake because - Do this... Do that... The "I'll be forever grateful" Then a yank to the collar go stay in line... Do as they say and I'll be ok... Make them happy and maybe... Just maybe I can soar on my own... Till now.... It's these steal chafing shackles... This ball that keeps me planted in prison © 2015 Sarah |
