Flame of love

Love is like a delicate flame

You make it grow from a simple spark

Created in the heat of a moment.

At first it is delicate,

Fickle,

It requires attention so it doesn't blink out of existence,

But under a watchful eye,

Love grows.

It grows into a raging bonfire,

Giving light and heat,

Warmth.

Love finally settles down,

Into a bed of embers.

A pulsating, steady glow

Able to survive a downpour.

If this love ever goes out,

The world becomes cold,

dull,

Lifeless.

It leaves a void where something once was,

And leaves everyone wishing it was still there.

I really liked it, it was a beautiful poem, with depth, great meaning, emotion and it was quite moving.
Pretty romantic piece.
I really liked the way you explained what love is to you, how you see it.
