Metal Gods

Metal Gods

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Metal Gods

rock me
hard, from
your perch
of stage...

lurchin' there
in metal
garb, rippin'
harsh the age

flex your
strings, with
fierce force,

shame me
for ever hopin'
that someday
I'd sing

able to
bring my
own page,
of idol
contain

with arms
of blazin'
wrath, no
sissy stuff
would do
