needs

From birth we’re told we are special
as we grow we find that is not true.
whilst we like finding things in common, because we’re finding allies against the differences that scare us
we resent that we share anything
we insult special things in others because
we resent the attention they receive.
‘individuality’ is a mind game we play with ourselves
to project an idea to the world in the hope of attention
because we’re terrified of the truth that we are all one.
vanity causes us to commit every sin
our love for ourselves makes us monsters
being told God loves us,
ultimately makes us devils.
