My Way

I don't know where I'm going, I only know where I have been
I don't know what I'm gonna do, only what I will not do again
I wouldn't change my past even if I could
Every hardship I've encountered has been for a greater good
If it weren't for my past I wouldn't be who I am today
There is something to be said for learning things the hard way
I'll continue on my way because one thing I surely know
I'll never get where I need to be if I'm not willing to go

Well done in terms of the positivity and the idea. We all need to learn from our mistakes, and I believe that people who have endured pain and tragedy usually come out the better for it if they are able to accept the things you've written here. For some reason, I am not "seeing" this piece the way I'd like to...I keep wanting to break each line into two lines for some reason. Just my thoughts. Nicely done.
