Know It All

I have fallen more than a few times, stumbled on my own two feet

I have gone the wrong way, in search of easy street

I have hit rock bottom and when i did I bounced,

hitting rock bottom again more times than I could count

I have had it easy except when things were tough

I have been sick and tired but not sick and tired enough

I have known nothing while swearing to know it all,

learned the hard way about all things big and small

I have tried and failed to find the right way to get by

always finding the wrong way because of what I failed to try

I have come to realize, go the wrong way I just might

But I have learned from my mistakes and three lefts make a right

Life lessons are never easy. When young we control the world, so we think. Failure is not all that bad, it's what you do with that shortcoming that says a lot. Do you continue down that path or change course? Good write.

I could chew this poem up, but that won`t help you, Keely Jane. There are some good themes to this, but I think you must consider each word in a poem as a jewel that needs displaying - in this way you`ll only use those words you need to produce some music. P.
