I remember days wasted and endless nights with no sleep
You wanna know about pain, I'll tell ya
I've been hurt three layers deep

Beneath my skin, beyond my heart, into my very essence
Where love makes it's way and teaches
One of life's most valuable lessons

Pleasure has a dark side, a few alter egos lying dormant
When the time is right, behold
Anguish and agony, torture and torment

You wanna know about pain, I'll tell ya
Mind you, my words only have so much weight
You wanna know about pain...
Fall in love and just wait

The mind splits between someone being tied to a bed and their capture standing over them with a riding crop. And an insane car ride with someone a person should have called but didn't. Maybe I am wrong, but this was deep with a dark hint of something else.

Whew, the attitude and feelings in this poem... wonderfully done. I really like these lines:
"I've been hurt three layers deep"
"Beneath my heart, beyond my heart, into my very essence"
And I like the final stanza, really nice ending. Powerful and seems true, when feeling pain sometimes you have to go through that same pain to understand how someone was feeling.

once again i agree with Madness, Ive fallen in love many times with the wrong people seeing now they didn't accept me for who i am. ill admit there have been people in my life that wanted me to be that guy but i pushed them away not caring how much i hurt them and some are still friends im greatful for that. the person i truly care for has left me once, ill be honest i cried myself to sleep that night. i said to myself: 'if there is a god than if this person comes back into my life i swear to you right now that ill never let her go again.' she has and ill fight for her if need be. my advice to you is if you love them let them leave and if they come back they are yours completely. i recommend you read more of my poems your works are beautiful and speak very deeply to me. Well Done.
