Such a pretty picture I've painted in my mind
A Monet of fantasy
A Van Gogh seek but no find
            Just an illusion really
            the imagination of my heart
            Mixed media emotions
            I call it Heartbreak Art
                         Dabs of disappointment 

                         across my internal canvas
                         There is us
                         and then there is this

so beautiful how you use the art images all the way through and then finish it out with this poignant line! you've painted this picture in your mind but it is not what your relationship with this person really is. you've deceived yourself within he beauty of the sadness. my favorite image was the mixed media emotions. great work!

Often times what we long for in a relationship and what it really is doesn't coincide. If we can live with that is the question. Wonderful poem!! :-)
