Loves Sacrifice

Loves Sacrifice

A Poem by unclecharlie

At times we have to sacrifice
To do so I no longer think twice
I am not rich but not poor
There is nothing I need any more
I have the things that make life great
A home, food, and the perfect mate
For me it's like a dream
That in the movies we have all seen
The dream for which we all wish
A prefect woman with the prefect kiss
The dream that  could have never come true
If I had never met you
Better she says it can get
But I am content right where I sit
It's the dream that many won't see
But the one that has set me free
For many years this life I have debated
To find it I have surely waited
Now I thank the God above
With his help I found True Love!

I like the idea, but the flow is broken. Usually, it would help if you could rephrase it so that the lines are almost the same lengths, such as:
For me it's like a dream
That in the movies we've all seen
Just that one contraction really makes a difference, and it wouldn't be hard to quickly glance through the poem and make corrections in order to fix the flow a bit.
I really enjoyed reading it, a lot of rhyming poetry feels limited, confined, but yours seems to g in precisely the direction it needs to.
