Hell Fire and Wonder

I'm not sure what I'm talking about here. It's a mix of the end of the earth as the Bible says will happen and nonsense.

Look into the sky.

It’s bleeding in pain

and anger.

 

Graves open up

with glory. Blood is flowing

from the veins of our people.

The rest are shattered in pain.

 

Look into the sky.

For the dragon dances,

gracefully, but all

the while pushing stars out of the sky.

 

 Those apart of the Family

are home. Those who never

accepted the light now

burn the unrefined hate

of the devil.

 

The sky bleeds with fear.

The children are dying in droves.

                                     People are left to wonder why.

It's the final apocalyptic end that the Bible describes and many other religious texts agree as well..It's dark, it's hopeless, its the End it seems..Just like the Noah's time, when the flood amassed all, this could give back recreation and new life to ensue..But it;s a tough subject to write and you've covered quite a lot of ground this one..The context can be changed and this could reflect the darkness, the failures we face constantly with the modern society as well. An excellent poem..to convey that

I like the cool, calm, 'told you so' attitude of the narrator. It's quite chilling, as though they're standing back watching the chaos, pain and destruction just smoking a ciggarette without much of a care!
