goodbye

i came back to give a stare in your teary eyes,

and you went off with that disappointment inside.

i know there were a lot of things flashing in between,

and i know what you meant while shaking your head in disbelief,

and i know how you said nothing yet everything i had already perceived ,

i knew 'cause somehow your eyes were enough before 

when you chose to walk away holding grief,

so i got froze, gazing where you were perched 5 seconds ago, 

picturing what would've happened if i had rather pleased.

not daring to move through the excruciating pain,

'cause somewhere i knew that i wont see you ever again...

you blew off our candle and gestured goodbye,

 bidding adieu to the dearest chapter of my life.

Author's Note

its short, not that great, but i still posted it cz i think its relatable, and i really liked the scene when i pictured it in my head and so i just had to write it as a poem and just that cz idk, i think it means a lot of things in itself, and its not just a scene but so many things at the same time when you look through different perspectives. Tell me your opinions about it!!
