Only Us

There are neither

angels nor demons

No denizens of hell 

nor messengers of God

No malevolent manipulators

nor saintly messengers

There is only us, 

and our intentions

There is only us

and the devil within

Us and the angels

in all of us 

There is only us

who do great good

And great evil 

in this lonely world
