Drinking Tea in Fourth Period Lunch

Drinking Tea in Fourth Period Lunch

A Poem by vb11

It’s chaotic out there,

Pandemonious blabber,

Unintelligent shout outs,

And incessant chatter,

Yet a dome of tranquility,

Encompasses me,

As with my pinkie up,

I sip at my tea,

The human wildlife,

Surrounding me fades,

Styrofoam turns to porcelain,

In this peaceful façade,

Crude conversations,

Turn to beautiful songs,

But when the bell rings,

My illusion dissolves.
