Chapter 3A Chapter by Raven
Chapter 3
When I got into Clovers Alice was just about to have a mental breakdown trying to get everything ready. It’s hard when you’re the boss and are always short on staff. “Alice, what can I do?” “Ummm….wipe down the tables and see if Carmen has the kitchen ready.” I did as I was told. I wiped down all the tables. I ran into the kitchen to ask Carmen if she was read. While I was doing all that Alice was getting the stuff ready behind the bar. By the time we were all done it was two o’clock. I ran to grab my pad and pencil. While Alice grabbed hers as well and opened the door. It was pretty boring the first shift. Just people ordering lunch. Soon as it gets dark that’s when Clovers is at it’s most interesting. Soon as it got dark at seven sure enough the first vampire customers came in. I signaled Alice and she went to say hi. I looked closely at them and all the vampires were laughing except one. Like he didn’t want to be there at all. I saw he had chocolate brown hair and blue eyes. Oh my god it can’t be. My heart started pounding and I felt like I was going to fall over. No I must be losing it. It can’t be Alex. “Arianna are you okay?” Alice called across the restaurant. “Yeah, I’m fine.” I pulled myself together but as soon as I talked he turned around and looked me right in the face. I stopped breathing for a second. A look of recognition crossed his face and lost but as soon as it was there it left. Boredom and annoyance replaced it. Alice sat them in my section oh just great. I went to go see if they wanted anything. One of the vampires at his table looked up. “Hay, where did you get that bracelet?” I was a little suspicious. He was looking at the bracelet like he has seen it before. “My boyfriend bought for me a while ago.” I answered. The vampire began to smile like he liked what he saw. “You still have this boyfriend.” I instantly became upset.” No, I haven’t seen him in four years.” He was about to ask another question but thank god Alice called me over. The boy that looked strangely like Alex was giving me a strange look. I went up to Alice and again she asked me if I was okay. I pulled myself together so she would stop asking this was work. I have no time for my emotional problems. I waited all my tables and everything was going great. I was getting great tips. Nothing was wrong that one vampire left me alone. Then two guys at the bar were getting into a fight. I went to stop it we didn’t have a bouncer or anything. I walked up to them. “Stop it there will be no fighting here. You here me!” I said. Just as they started punching each other. The guy behind me lifted my skirt I turned around and slapped him. “You stop that.” I saw the table of vampires look over. One of them was standing, I couldn’t tell who. Alice came over to help. The two men who were fighting were getting closer to me. One went to slap me and I went down. Next thing I knew I look up and one of the vampires had the both guys by the arm. “You say sorry to this woman right now.” You could tell he was pissed to. His fangs were out and everything. I looked back at his table and his friends were outraged that he did that. I looked closely and realized it was the guy who looked like Alex. Now that I was closer I could see he was Alex he had to be. Same temper, same eyes. I would never forget those eyes. He put the men down they apologized and Alice kicked them out. The vampire helped me up. It was like funny actually because that’s how we met to. Him saving me. “Thank you.” I said in a shy nervous voice. “Your welcomes miss.” “Does your name happen to be Alex I asked?” he didn’t answer. I saw his eyes and they told me everything like they always did. He was definitely Alex and he was hiding something. That I could tell. “Hay Alex, common we got to go.” The vamp from before with the long black hair called him over. I let out I sigh. It really was Alex and he’s alive. I felt like doing a happy dance. I looked around to see everyone left except Alice. I looked at the door just in time to see him leave. I got a feeling I hadn’t felt in a long time hope. I knew I would find him again.
