The Fancy RabbitA Poem by KittenA poem based from the characters from the story Alice in Wonderlad, written from Alice's point of view.![]() I remember him quite clearly, for it would be hard to forget, the fancy mister rabbit who was quite quick, for when he scampered across the meadow I caught a glimpse of something shine, it was a lovely pocket watch and it was very divine. But bother! What would a rabbit be doing in possession of a watch? My curiosity arouse and a chase was commenced. Out the yard I was, through the fence, out into the meadow where I last saw him hence. His furry little feet were very swift, and I could barely keep sight of the little kip. Through the daisies and pansies we dashed, I was sure I could catch him, but he was so fast! So a question I asked, “Mister Rabbit please! Could you spare a second? Where are you off too so very rapid?” He came to a pause, and stood up straight and tall, gathered up his musk and answered my call, “Why I’m late! Oh dear so late! I haven't the time to chat! Pardon me dear but I have to go and that’s that!” He continued his journey as I trailed along, and through a forest is where we came upon, then finally after all the dashing, he came to a halt, to the stump of a large oak that was quite tall, at the base of the great tree was the mouth of the Earth, a massive hole that seemed very berserk, down the fancy mister rabbit plunged into the quirky hole, and I wonder where could that fancy rabbit possibly have gone, so with my curiosity at it’s peak I decided to follow him down, or rather was it up? I was destined to venture to a place where it would be hard to turn back, it changed me forever. Difficult to describe, but magnificent and mysterious it was,
I guess you would call it Wonderland I suppose... © 2014 Kitten |
