A long distance love poem

Head to my pillow I lay gazing towards the dark ceiling above me

Tonight I pray God allow me to dream of you

Feeling you close

Distance creates a temporary gap

Our love I treasure

And I am patient

But this moment I wish to be selfish

I want to feel your hand grasp mine

I want to glare deep into your beautiful eyes filled with passion

Perhaps kiss your cheek

I pray God let us meet in our dreams tonight

A quick rendezvous from the distance 

I sense you are praying the same

Our tale of love is being written
