Vision Quest

 

A vision of clarity

On this day of rest

As the sun shines brightly

Like any other day

 

A vision of compassion

To help me understand

All that transpires

In the course of my day

 

A vision of hope

To keep my faith

And to talk the talk

To walk the walk

 

A vision of happiness

To relish with gratitude

All Ive been gifted

To be honest and humble

 

A vision of understanding

To remind me of those suffering

Still trudging thru the mud

Existing, yet not able to live

 

A vision of Love

Generously lavished 

 Like a warm lit candle

Lights a treacherous path

 

Our vision quest

Our human experience

Is but a simple vision

But a difficult quest

Great poem, I enjoyed the whole thing!

In the beginning I wasn't quite sure where it was leading. But I loved it quite the same for its loveliness made it a pleasure to read. By the end honestly I was a little moved, for the last stanza completed this piece so well. Life is just a quest and it can be lovely and we seek out all these wonderful things such as love, understanding, and happiness. But it is quite difficult. I truly love this, wonderful :)
