If we could be more than this

I wonder what ‘tis you would want us to be

 

If our nights could be endless

Would you be touching my heart forever?

 

If I make these promises  

Be rest assured I’ll fulfill all your needs

 

If I give in to desires

Will you be the lover that will sate me?

 

If we choose eternity

I’m confident I’m worth your everything

 

If I'm alone feeling this

I’ll be briefly saddened but I’ll move on

 

If this is truly our fate

I’m still glad to have shared all this with you

I’ll be briefly saddened but I’ll move on" - That's one skill (can we call it that?) I'd love to learn.

The love described in this poem seems to be real, powerful and deep - one to "die for".

Nicely done. You've got some really good lines here and nice thoughts. I'd like a bit more actually. Really draw out these IF questions about life and love. Give us a struggle or a conflict to think about and intrigue us. Great job so far though. I really like it.
