PhoenixA Poem by Vidya BacchusWe should not let life trample us underfoot but be strong and rise from the ash.Phoenix Gathering stormclouds portent, And taken refuge amidst its seductive folds.
Life has tossed me down,
Reckless in my quest ,
My nails are torn and broken,
Emotion, a tool to bring us to heel, Like a double edged sword,is the most crippling, Tempting fate I throw down the gauntlet,
I seek counsel from the elders, © 2013 Vidya BacchusAuthor's Note
