Sunlight

For once I'm happy, 

as I step into the sunlight.

The beauty of it engulfs me & submurges me into perfect bliss.

The flower's bloom, and the birds sing,

for they are happy, just like I am.

As I walk in the sunlight, 

I feel weightless and free.

But all of a sudden, the sun goes away,

and with it goes my happiness.

The rain starts shattering down on all my hopes and dreams,

and it feels like my world is spiraling down onto the ground.

Before it can hit the floor,

And just when I feel all my hope is lost, and

there is nothing left to live for,

the sun comes back out.

It welcomes me back into my happy blissful world again.

Although it can not be trusted, I step back into it.

The same feelings run rapidly through my body.

I just want to keep this feeling forever, 

and never go back into the rain.

But as they say,

along with the good, comes the bad.

It's just the reality I'm forced to face.
